Cooper, Winnifred Larry (Died)

Suddenly at his home on Monday, December 8, 2008, Winnifred Larry Cooper of Woodstock and formerly of Tillsonburg at the age of 73 years. Larry was born in Rosanna, South Norwich Township on November 19, 1935. Larry was a former employee of Metal Fabricators, Tillsonburg and then was employed at Teledyne, Woodstock where he retired in 1995. Dear son of the late Theodore (Ted) Cooper (1983) and the late Gladys Winnifred (Watkins) Cooper (1996). Dear father of Darwin Cooper of Hawtrey and Bonnie (Troy) Temple of Tillsonburg and survived by their mother Julia Cooper. Loving grandfather of Jesse and Tonya Temple. Survived by his brother Earl (Betty) Cooper of R.R. # 1 Brownsville. Sisters Phyllis Gee of Norwich, Sandra (John) Purdy of Mt. Elgin, Linda (Richard) Goos of Glencoe and a very dear friend Melva White of Brantford and also several nieces and nephews. Larry was predeceased by a brother Stanley (2002) and a brother-in-law Russell Gee (2006) and an infant brother Robert Douglas (1938). Larry was a member of the Woodstock Legion Branch # 55 where he took an active role in their activities and also had been a volunteer delivering Meals -on -Wheels in the Woodstock area. Larry was an avid sports enthusiast. He loved football, baseball and loved to travel. Friends will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, Tillsonburg on Friday, December 12, 2008 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. where the Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in the Rosanna Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Canadian Red Cross, Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Woodstock Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 55 would be appreciated by the family.
