Boniface, Thomas James (Jim) - Peacefully on Friday, November 28, 2008 with his family by his side, in his 84th year, Thomas James (Jim) Boniface joined his son Roger in heaven. Cherished husband of Gwen (Galpin) for 60 years. Loving father of Barbara (Peter) Giampa and Ron. He will be greatly missed by his daughter-in-law Elinor, grandchildren Michael Giampa, Jennifer (Jack) DaCosta, Angela (Don) Boniface. Matthew Boniface and great grandchildren Devon DaCosta and Marley Johnston. He loved us as much as we loved him--so very much. Jim will be fondly rememberd by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and many friends. Predeceased by his son Roger (2006), his brothers Alfred and Jack and sisters Win and Doris. Jim was a proud veteran of World War II having served in the Royal Canadian Navy. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #119 and the Oxford Navy Club. Jim was a member of the London Model Aircraft Club and the Harvard Aircraft Association where he got great enjoyment helping to restore the Harvards. He was the Master of the King Hiriam Lodge in 1969 and was 1st Principle of the Royal Arch Masons Harris Chapter #41 and became Grand Superintendent in 1995 and 1996. Family and friends may call at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home, 246 Thames Street S., on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Masonic Service under the auspices of the King Hiriam Lodge #37 A.F. & A.M. will take place Monday evening at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Marilyn Myhre officiating. Interment in Harris Street Cemetery. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or the Kidney Foundaton (cheques accepted) would be appreciated.
