Clark, Alice Margaret (nee Johnston) - Suddenly, unexpectedly but peacefully in her sleep, Mom left us on January 3, 2009. Born in Etobicoke on November 25, 1926, she grew up in Simcoe. In 1945 she married her soldier, Ronald Robert Clark and renamed him Bob. They lived in Woodstock, started their family in Stratford, then moved to London to raise their four daughters and run their Covent Garden Market business until retirement, at which time they relocated to Ingersoll. An avid and talented handicrafter, Mom devoted herself to helping establish the new home of Services for Seniors and was very proud of her contributions to the success of the Seniors Centre. Predeceased by her husband Bob (1996) Survived by daughters and sons-in-law; Roberta and Mark Mitchell, Brenda and Phil Hackett, Rebecca and Blair LeBlanc all of Ingersoll and Beverly and David Bidtnes of Sarnia. Also loved very much by grandchildren Kristian and Avril. Family and friends will be celebrating Alice’s life on Friday, January 9, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. from the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home, 246 Thames Street South, Ingersoll. Reception to follow at her beloved Senior’s Centre, Suzuki House Canada, Ingersoll Road. Memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Arthritis Society of Canada (cheques accepted) would be appreciated by the family.
