SIMPSON - David A., of St. Thomas, passed away at LHSC, Victoria Hospital on Monday, January 5, 2009, in his 64th year. Beloved husband of over 35 years and best friend to Joyce (Mulder) Simpson. Dearly loved brother of Wes (Anne), Doug (Mary), Gordon, Roger (Regina), Joan Powell (Laurie), Gloria MacKenzie (late Gordon), Peggy Pottruff and the late Beverly Bates. Cherished brother-in-law of Fimmie and Paul Hambly, and Ann Mulder (late Eppie). Also fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Born in Charlottenburgh Twp., Ontario, June 28, 1945, David was the son of the late Allan and Violet (Atlee) Simpson. He was a retired employee of GKN Sinter Metals Inc., St. Thomas. David was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church and a member of Lord Elgin Branch #41, Royal Canadian Legion, St. Thomas. Cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends will be received at the SIFTON FUNERAL HOME, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas on Thursday evening from 6-9 p.m. A service of remembrance will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church (Hincks and Mitchell Streets), St. Thomas on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations to the Knox Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, the VON or the Canadian Cancer Society gratefully acknowledged.
