MCLAREN - Verna Marie peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at Park Lane Terrace, Paris on Sunday, January 18, 2009,Verna (nee Hagen) of Burford in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late James McLaren (1994). Loving mom of Jim of B.C., Lynne Gowdy of Forest, Bob and Judy of Harley and Helen McLaren of Burford; Dear mother-in-law of Rick and Lorraine Sibbick; Nana of 11 grandchildren and Great-Nana of 14 great-grandchildren. Also survived by sisters Sylvia McLean and Ellen Burk and sister-in-law Hazel Hagen. Predeceased by daughter Judy Sibbick (1991), brother Roy Hagen and sister Evelyn Gall. Friends will be received at the KEITH OVINGTON FUNERAL HOME 134 King Street., Burford on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday January 23, 2009, at 1 p.m. with Rev. Mark Gaskin officiating. Interment Pioneer Cemetery, Burford.
