LANGE - Janet Ross Lange, 89, formerly of Embro passed away in the PeopleCare Health Care Centre, Tavistock on Tuesday, March 10, 2009. She was born in East Nissouri Township, Middlesex County on April 16, 1919, a daughter of the late James and Annie (McDonald) McCorquodale. Janet was a member of Knox United Church in Embro and the United Church Women Group, a member of the Auxiliary of Embro Memorial Branch #318 Royal Canadian Legion and a member of Brooksdale Women’s Institute. She married Holger C. Lange at Embro on July 24, 1943. He died on October 22, 1996. Janet is survived by three daughters, Judy and husband Lloyd Tuck of Harriston, Chris and husband Keith Wiffen of RR#6, Woodstock; Mary and husband Sandy MacDonald of Kamloops, B.C.; five grandchildren, Jeff Tuck and Shannon Nicoll, Janice and Mike Shannon, Monica and Rod Shantz, Michael Wiffen and Connie Marrero and Mark Wiffen; two step-grandchildren,Toby and Kelly MacDonald; five great grandchildren, Connor, Owen and Ellie Shantz, Isabella Tuck and Sean Wiffen; her brother-in-law, Julian Priver of Detroit; his sisters-in-law, Helen McCorquodale of Belleville, Elly Anderson of Duncan, B.C. and Alice Skillings of Kingston. She was predeceased by her brothers and sister-in-law, Alex and Leda McCorquodale and Findlay McCorquodale; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth and Ted Hamilton, Hannah McCorquodale, Anne Christene and Wally Clark, Ida and Jim Longfield and Doris Priver; “Lange” brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Vagn and Marie Lange, Esther and Helmer Nielsen and Joyce Lange. Relatives and friends will be received in the FRANCIS FUNERAL HOME, 77 Woodstock Street, North, Tavistock on Friday, March 13, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in Knox United Church, Embro on Monday, April 13, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. (note date). The Rev. Judy Campbell will officiate. Interment in North Embro Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated and may be made through the Francis Funeral Home by calling 1-519-655-2431
