SOBESKI - At her residence on Thursday, April 2, 2009. Aniela “Nellie” Marie (nee Kolanko) Sobeski of Caressant Care, Woodstock and formerly of Cardigan St., Woodstock in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late John Paul Sobeski (1984). Dear mother of Michael of Woodstock, Patricia Jacob and her husband Richard of Windsor and Patrick of Woodstock. Loved grandmother of Jeffrey (Charlie), Nicole (Mike), Charlsey (Mike), Aaron and Craig. Dear sister of Anne of Bolton, Mary and Blanche both of Nova Scotia and Joseph (Cam) of Weston and sister-in-law of Henry (Angie) Sobeski and Jack Meatherall. Predeceased by her brothers Michael, Walter and Tony. Nellie was a longtime member of the St. Mary’s C.W.L., a member of the Woodstock General Hospital Auxiliary, was a past employee of Harvey Woods and FMC, and was an avid Bridge player for almost six decades. Friends may call at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Sunday, April 5, 2009 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The mass of the resurrection will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish, 904 Dundas St., Woodstock on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Interment in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery. Contributions to the Woodstock General Hospital Auxiliary or the Holy Trinity Catholic Parish Building Fund would be appreciated.
