REID, Sylvia "Mickey" Mary - Peacefully at Woodstock General Hospital on Wednesday, April 21st, 2010, Sylvia "Mickey" Mary Reid (nee Yates) of Oxford Gardens, Woodstock in her 92nd year. Beloved mother of Susan Pedrosa (Jake) of Woodstock. Loving Grandma of Jacob Pedrosa (Darlene) of Saskatoon and Tyler Pedrosa of Woodstock and Great-Grandma of Madison and Graham. Also remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Herbert and Georgina Yates, her husband Al Reid, her sisters Winnifred Hishon, Dorothy Greenaway, Kathleen Robinson, Edna Lorch, and Margaret White, and her brothers John Yates, Edward Yates, and Walter "Jimmy" Yates. Sylvia was a court reporter in Woodstock for over 50 years and was very involved in the Woodstock Strings, I.O.D.E. Admiral Vansittart Chapter, and the Church of the Epiphany. A service to celebrate her life will be held at the Church of the Epiphany, 560 Dundas Street (at Wellington Street), Woodstock on Wednesday, April 28th, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. with the Reverend Canon Richard A. Jones officiating. Cremation followed by interment later at The Anglican Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated.
