Konigshofer, Andreas (Died)

Passed away, peacefully on Wednesday, September 1st, 2010, at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, Andreas Konigshofer of R.R.2, Tillsonburg with his wife Julianna and family by his side, at the age of 87. Andreas was a former Tobacco farmer farming on Potters Road, Tillsonburg. He was a cabinetmaker by trade. He was a member of both the Delhi German Home and the Austrian Club of Toronto. Born in Austria, September 12th, 1922 son of the late Andreas Konigshofer and the late former Monica Ocherbauer, both of Austria. Much loved husband and best friend of 62 years of Julianna (Magashazi) Konigshofer. Loving father and father-in-law of: Frank and Brenda Konigshofer of Woodstock; Joe and Tracy Konigshofer of Tillsonburg; John and Laurie Konigshofer of R.R.2, Otterville; and David and Gail Konigshofer of R.R.2, Tillsonburg. Proud and loving opa of eleven grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren. Andreas is survived by two brothers: Bertum and Johan and their families in Austria. Predeceased by an infant son Andreas in Austria and also predeceased by a sister Katrina and by a brother Clement. Friends, neighbours and relatives will be received at the Verhoeve Funeral Home , 262 Broadway Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-4238) on Friday 2:00-4:00 and 6:30-9:00 p.m. Parish Prayers are Friday at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Saturday, September 4th, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 51 Venison St. W., (at Rolph St.), Tillsonburg, by Rev. Fr. Matthew George. Interment to follow in the Tillsonburg Cemetery. Memorial donations in Andreas' memory are payable only by cheque to the "St. Mary's R.C.
