- Description
- Black and white photograph of a brick church with small pointed windows and medallion ornament. There is a sign "Periwincle Place" beside the building.
Occasional services were held in the area prior to 1889 by the missionary in charge. Sometime after that date and before 1893, St. John's Anglican Church was built. The land that the church building sits on was donated to the Anglican Church from land that had been given to one of Butler's Rangers (from War of 1812 fame) for his services rendered.
The church closed in 1954. - Notes
