- Description
- Black and white photograph of a three-storey, stone building in the Classic Revival style, almost completely covered by vines.
The hall was designed by architect William Thomas and originally built as a seat of government for Lincoln County in 1848. When Lincoln County Court House was moved from Niagara to St. Catharines in 1865, usage changed from court house to town hall. The Old Niagara Town Hall also served as a public library and a theatre when in 1962 the Shaw Festival Theatre started performing there. - Notes
