There were plenty of interesting stories passed around last night as Niagara-on-the-Lake firefighters, civic officials and friends Don Sherlock, chief of the Niagara-on-the-Lake Volunteer Firefighters who is retiring after 46 years service to the organization, got together to swap reminiscences at a party honoring Mr. Sherlock. Assistant Chief Horace Awde, left, and Edward Bradley, right, who had served 50 years with the group before he retired, go over old times with Chief Sherlock, centre.
