- The 1939 royal tour of Canada was a cross-Canada royal tour by King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, lasting from May 17 to June 15, 1939. It was the first visit of a reigning monarch to Canada.
The royal couple arrived by train in St. Catharines on June 7, 1939, and then took a 30-minute scenic drive to Niagara Falls through Port Weller, Niagara-on-the-Lake and Queenston. It was the last day of royal couple in Canada. - Inscriptions
