     Whereas it has pleased the Divine Will to send the swift messenger of Death into our midst, and remove one of our beloved members to the other realms of usefulness; one for whom we all felt the most profound respect, and whose absense from our friendly circle will be universally regretted. But in as much as every one must fall sooner or later before the scythe of the great Reaper, we bow our heads in humility and accept the fiat; therefore be it
     Resolved
     That the St. Augustine Tourist Club hereby expresses to surviving relatives and to the home friends of Prof. William Armstrong, our sincerest regard, and sympathy in this their great bereavement, and pledge our active efforts in lessoning their affliction,
     Resolved
     That a copy of these resolutions be recorded in the minutes of our club, and a copy of same be transmitted to the relatives; and
     Resolved
     That this club attend in a body the last rites which may be performed here for the deceased.
          " The chamber where the good man meets his fate is
            privileged beyond the common walks of virtuous life;
            quite in the verge of Heaven."
