HERMANN E. FREUDENBERG
WEINHEM, BERGSTR. HARMANNSHOF June 25th 1914

Mr. Wm Armstrong
Dear Sir
I thank you very much for your kind letter of the 4th [imt?] and should indeed not wish for better but to live a part of the year on your beautiful farm, and have it for property - but with my works here employing over 3000 men and at a distance of about 6000 miles it is not feasable!
Gardening or farming is in no way my business, but only a hobby, and as I have seen that you manage fruit growing better than we do here, I have resolved not only to adapt your methods in my garden, but also to establish a small model farm and have it managed by a man who would have learned your methods.
I am on the search of a suitable person now, and if I find one, shall send him on to you next spring.
In the meantime, if you will support me in my really unselfish task I should

thank you very much if you would write down a short of the treatment of peach trees, but this may be asking too much.
For the sale of your farm I should advise you to advertise it in England and if you get applications you may to refer to me. - Every man in the shoe or leather trades in the United Kingdom knows me and my references would be of value.-
Yours sincerely
Herm. E. Freudenberg
