CAPT. R. C. COATSWORTH HURT.

Son of Dr. R. C. Coatsworth, and Nephew of Judge E. C. Coatsworth, Justice of Supreme Court.

Two telegrams have arrived at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Coatsworth, 296 Parliament street, within the past week, concerning their son, Capt. Richard Collier Coatsworth, who enlisted with the 2nd Canadian Corps, from which a year ago he was transferred to the Royal Army Medical-Corps, and then to the 16th King's Own Rifles. The first telegram received Saturday read: "sincerely regret to inform you Captain R. C. Coatsworth wounded August 23rd. Further news will be sent when received." The following day a second telegram stated: "Capt. R. C. Coatsworth admitted No 14 General Hospital, Boulogne, Aug. 25th, contusions left leg, and slight scabies."

EDUCATED IN TORONTO. Capt. Coatsworth was born in Toronto 28 years ago; educated in Toronto public and Model [...] which he received his B.A. in 1911, his M.A. in 1913 and his M.B. in 1915.

A brother, Pte. Alan Coatsworth, "the pride of his father's heart," is twenty-five years of age; he also was educated at Toronto Public and Model schools, and was an undergraduate of Victoria University previous to enlisting in the fall of 1914, with the 2nd Divisional Cyclists Corps. He was for three or four years with the Merchants' Fire Insurance Co.

WENT INTO ARTILLERY.

He later transferred to the Artillery, as he wanted to be near the real fighting. A sister of the two boys graduated from the Toronto General Hospital last spring, and expects to leave Toronto in a month or six weeks to join the Canadian Hospital in England.

Judge E. Coatsworth, Justice the Supreme Court, is an uncle of this military family.
