the visitor will wonder how he ever accomplished the feat. He was found dead on the debris slope beneath the cable June 25, 1887 and it has always been supposed that while under the influence of liquor he had tried to cross the cable and fell off.

Railroads.
The N. Y. C. and H. R. R. R.
Trains of the New York Central Railroad arrive and depart from the depot, corner of Falls and Second-Streets. This is the great four track route through the Empire State and its train service will be found of the best in every way.

The Michigan Central.
The very complete trains on this great road arrive and depart from the New York Central depot. The manner in which they cater to their patrons, makes it a popular route. A solid vestibuled train is run from Niagara Falls to Chicago.

The Rome Watertown and Ogdensburg Railroad.
Trains on this railroad for Oswego depart from the New York central depot corner of Falls and Second streets. Close connections are made from the main line for Rochester, Syracuse, Rome, Uttica and other points. It is a popular route to the Thoand Islands. Leaving Niagara in the evening you are landed amidst the beautiful scenery of the St. Lawrence in the early morning.

The Lehigh Valley Railroad.
The Lehigh Valley trains run into the Erie station at the corner of Second and Niagara streets. This is the favorite route to Mauch Chunk "the Switzerland of America", Glen Onoko and the Switch Back, also to Ithaca, Tanghannock Falls, Sheldrake and Watkins Glen, the delightful summer resorts on Cayuga and Seneca Lakes. Connections made with the Grand Trunk at Niagara Falls, Ont.

The N. Y. L. E. and W. R. R.
The Niagara Falls New York station of this popular road is situated at the corner of Second and Niagara streets and its trains land the passenger as near to the great waterfall and State Reservation as any other road. It connects with the Grand Trunk at Niagara Falls, Ont., and with the steamer for Toronto at Port Dalhousie, Ont.

The Grand Trunk Railway.
The Trains on this road land the passengers at Niagara Falls.' N. Y., Niagara Falls, Ont., and at Suspension Bridge, N. Y.; they make connection with the New York Central, the West Shore and Rome Watertown and Ogdensburg Railroads at Suspension Bridge, N. Y., and with the New York Lake Erie and Western and Lehigh Valley Railroads at Niagara Falls, Ont.

Quick time is made to Toronto, Montreal, Quebec, Portland and all points East, also London, St. Thomas, Port Huron, Detroit, Chicago and all points West.
Through sleeping Cars from New York, Boston and Buffalo for Detroit, Chicago, and St. Louis. Dining cars on all Express trains.

By Boat to Toronto.
Visitors to Niagara who may desire to go to Toronto, Ont, by boat will find it very pleasant to take the New York Central train to Lewiston and there board the magnificent steamer.

»Cibola« or »Chicora«.
The ride across Lake Ontario is very pleasant and a visit to Niagara is hardly complete without it. You can also take the Grand Trunk train to Port Dalhousie and then board the palace steamer "Empress of India".

Important notice of tourists.
Among the interesting features of the Falls, the Niagara Falls Museum (established on the Canada side in 1830) has been classed, but since its establishment on the American side, with its large addition, is now conceded the next of importance to the Falls. Visitors wonder when they enter its portals how it is possible for an individual to gather such a vast and varied collection in a life time. To accomplish this it has taken seventy years at a cost of over one million dollars.

Space will not allow to make mention of the many thousand special features in this grand exhibition, suffice it to say that the collection is now more varied and instructive than any on the American continent, and the arrangement more pleasing and artistic than any in the world.
To the millions who have visited the old institution, it might be stated, the additions to the old collection have been as numerous and extensive, the proprietors have been compelled to construct a building over twice as large as the old, in order to exibit them in.
The collection of Egyptian Mummies (one of which is the most perfect in the world) are well worth your visit solely to see. Guther B. March, one of the greatest

authorities on Egyptian Antiquities, pronounces them to be the most interesting and valuable in existence. In his description he draws a comparison with those that Barnum spoke of offering the Egyptian Government $ 100,00 for the privilege of exibiting at the Chicago Fair. He says, they are many ages older, better preserved and of more illustrious personages.

The latest addition to the Museum!
Made in the spring of 1891 is the Famous Art Gallery, Long established in Prospect Park, before the inauguration of the State Reservation. It comprises several hundred representations of the most notable scenes in European and Oriental History, ancient and modern; Churches, Palaces and Bridges; Lakes, Rivers and Mountains ; Naval and Land Engagements; Portraits of distinguished men of war, of letters, and of diplomacy; sacred scenes and incidents; all enlarged microscopically to life-size, and so arranged that one hundred persons may at the same time be pleasantly occupied in the enjoyment of the scenes of other days and climes. The Megalfthescopic views of Rome and Venice, which we have added to this collection, are the most enchanting and artistic effects ever viewed through a lens. These are the only pictures of their kind in America and therefore will be of interest to you.
This addition has cost many thousand dollars. We feel assured (by the many gratifying remarks passed by the hundreds who have already visited the Museum to see the latest acquisition) that your visit here will be the most pleasurable of any place you may visit around Niagara.

The observatory view
will amply repay you for your visit. Being elevated above all trees and buildings you are in view of the Falls and surroundings for eight and ten miles. This is most desirable to you, as it will inform you (without the aid of interested persons) where the prominent points on the river are located.
