"While warmly smiling, the first and foremost feature a person is rewarded with upon meeting Al is his comfortable sense of humanity. From his youth as a brilliant amateur goaltender and latterly for over thirty years through coaching, management and administration of teams and leagues, Al was always there, always listening and forever answering the call of duty. No one person in Niagara-on-the-Lake has volunteered more time and energy to hockey and lacrosse than Al. He has truly dedicated himself to the betterment of our youth through sports. While leading teams of all ages to great success including two 'Provincial Intermediate 'A' Lacrosse Championships' in 2014 and 2015. Al has instilled in his players to never lose sight of the true meaning of competition; this being the development of personality and respect through perseverance and discipline, but always with a sense of humor and fair play, and the boundless joy of participation."
