- "Beyond being a marvelous athlete, Michael was instrumental in the beginnings of the Niagara SloPitch and Soccer Leagues as well as the Niagara (very senior) Hot Tub Hockey League whose championship Trophy bears his name. His great passion for coaching, refereeing and umpiring was reflected through an everlasting dedication to our youth where he not only taught athletic skills and sportsmanship, but most importantly, respect for self, others, and coaches. Michael was a wonderful wit, a grand personality and "still married" to the end."
