Full Title : United Empire Loyalists in the Niagara Peninsula, Proceedings, Sixth Annual Niagara Peninsula History Conference.
Book; 61 pages. This book is a combination of academic papers from the sixth annual Niagara Peninsula History Conference held at Brock University. These papers discuss the impact of the large scale immigration of loyalists from the newly created United States to Upper Canada in the 18th and 19th centuries. They also discuss how these “newcomers laid the foundation for a new english speaking colony west of the settled areas of Quebec, thus injecting a new vitality into the economy an initiating far-reaching constitutional and political changes.”
