Oxford County Branch Library Collection

Welcome to the Oxford County Branch Library Collection. Our research library is a non-lending, private library that is open to the general public Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. It is located at 82 Light Street, Court House Square, Woodstock ON. Volunteers are on hand to assist with locating material and providing instruction on the use of equipment Research For researchers unable to visit our library, volunteers will do a limited search on the resources in our library. We are not professional genealogists and cannot do your complete family history, but we can search for vital information that will help you in your search for ancestors. All research is undertaken subject to the availability of volunteer help. Please allow sufficient time for our volunteers to do a thorough search ( 6 – 8 weeks) and please be patient as there may be a lengthy turn around time for some research. A successful search may depend upon how accurately you are able to describe the search you wish to have done. Remember that an unsuccessful search requires the same amount of time as a successful one. There is no refund for an unsuccessful search. For more information about our Research Services, including the Fees Schedule, please visit the Research Section of our website. You may also email us directly at: oxford@ogs.on.ca We are a non-profit, volunteer organization and all fees go to expand our collection and maintain our library.
