- Erin Township was surveyed and named for Old Ireland. The township was first settled by Nathaniel Rozell in 1820 on Lot 1 on the 7th Line. The book details the first settlers, building of roads, the first railroad, bank and information about some of the prominent families, the McGills and McMillians. Also included are photographs and maps.
