- Description
- After WW I the Salvation Army trained young men as farmers and sponsored their immigration to Canada. In 1924 the first group arrived in Woodstok at Burnside Lodge and were given accommodation before they found employment. The scheme continued until 1936 when Burndise Lodge was closed. This book contains the history of the immigration scheme, names of young men, anecdotes of some of their experiences and photographs.
