Description
A concise history of education in the province and the development of schools in Woodstock from the first school erected in the "Town Plot" in 1817, to the first common school house erected by means of tax levied funds on Graham Street, to the schools built after the incorporation of Woodstock as a town in 1851.
Notes
Elementary schools were know as common schools and secondary schools were known as grammar schools.
