- The story of Pte. James Jackson and his daughter Margaret Jackson and their service in WW I. Pte. Jackson enlisted in 1915 in Guelph in the 168th Battalion at 42 years of age and ended up serving in the 1st Canadian Labour Battalion as a sapper. His daughter Margaret Jackson trained as a nurse in Scranton Pennsylvania, graduating in 1916. She was called up for service by the American Red Cross in 1918 and was sent to France. The book details some of their war experiences before they returned home to Ingersoll.
