The result is as follows : j The circumstance of John Shaw having been arrested on suspicion of knowing someâ€" The deceased, Thomas Shaw, was a stout, ableâ€"bodied man, of about 55 years of age, of the medium height, and up to the time of his death was enjoying good health. . : Upon examination it was found that the bullet had entered a little to the right of the protuberance of the ‘occipital boneâ€"at the back of the skullâ€"passing forwards and upâ€" wards, through that part of the brain called the cerebelium, and continuing its course through: the middle lobe of the cerebrum, making its exisat the posterior superior angle of the parietal bone of the right side, The bones through which the ball passed were fractured :into several pieces, and at the union of the bones at the top of the skull a large piece was blown completely out. The brain itsel{ was very much lacerated, and a considerable amount was forced from the crainal cavity by the passage of the buillet. The integuments were also torn in almost thing: of his late father‘s murder, and the supposition that he would be up for examinaâ€" tion before the Police Magistrate on Saturday morning, brought a number of people there in the expectation of seeing bim. .
