Major atoms win two games Minor hockey results Juvenile , Green 1fjlue 7 The n¥ were filled in the Juveni hockey game betweeslffre Green and Blue. Sixty,~""jutes and 18 goals later ,ssen emerged on top with an 11-7 triumph. A hattrick by Ray DeVillers and two goal performances from Paul Marion and Dave Ross sparked Green to its victory. Singles went to Dave Parent, Ken Wiggins, Allen, and Rob Cascagnette. Wayne Beausoleil and Dave Parent "picked up a pair of assists. Ray DeVillers also earned an assist to go along with his three goals giving him a four point game. Mike Duval popped in four goals for the Blues in their losing effort. Bill Mundy scored a pair and Wayne St. Amant notched a single marker to account for the seven goals. Assists went to John Sagle (two), Bill Mundy (two) and Wayne St. Amant. Midget B Sweden 5 Austria 4 Four goals by Peter Gignac proved to be the difference as Sweden edged Austria 5-4. Jammy Mad- dock scored the fifth and game winning goal for Sweden. John Picket, Chris Robitaille, and Roger Dupuis sparked the Canuckes with single goal efforts. Picket also picked up an assist. Jackie Dusome scored the lone goal for Russia. Junior C Tiger 5 Panthers 2 The(Tigers ripped into the Panth 5-2. Vincent + led the Tigers Attack with four goals. Patrick Dion ac- counted for the other Tiger marker. Neil Charlebois replied with a pair of goals for the panthers. Junior B Weston 3 Newmarket 3 David Trudeau's hattrick enabled Weston to tie Newmarket 3-3. Newmarket's three goals came from two brothers. Arthur LeRoux scored a pair while brother Denis added a single. Assists went to Jamie Grozelle with two and Donald Twist. St. Kitts 4 Barrie 3 Victor LeBlanc picked up a pair of goals and Greg Marchildon earned a couple of assists as St. Kitts edged Barrie by a single goal. All-Star Hockey Major Atoms 3 Collingwood 1 Single goals by Peter Roi, Ken Lacroix and Frank Dupuis powered the Penetanguishene Major Atoms to a 3-1 win over Collingwood. Gary Potts scored Collingwoods only goal. Major Atoms 6 Owen Sound 2 In a second game the Penetanguishene Atoms came out on top again downing Owen Sound 6-2. School girls junior and senior volleyball teams took part in the opening tournament games of this season Thursday at PSS. In the Junior matches PSS defeated St. Theresa's of Midland 15-3, and 15-0. PSS then went on to defeat Elmvale 15-10, lost their second match 15-7, and put Elmvale out of the running by defeating them 15-11 in the final game. The PSS Seniors were unlucky. They lost all but one game. Elmvale defeated PSS 15-8 and 16-14. St. Theresa's downed PSS 15-12. In the second game PSS won 15-12.
