Defence counsel Robert MacKinnon noted the "marked and dramatic change in (the) attitude and behaviour" of the accused, in the two year period, pointing to a solid academic record at Georgian College. MeNee Stated that there is an ever increasing demand for participation in this program and he welcomes any inquiries from employers Applications for 1975-76 L.I.P. program arrived at the Midland CMC and by the end of July 17 requests had been the received from _ local organizations for ap- plications. Many were from participants in last year's program There was considerable activity in the area of the mobility program MeNee said 12 relocation grants were issued to persons moving to em- ployment in other areas of the country. In ad- dition, eight persons received exploratory grants to help them get to other areas to seek em- ployment: At the end of July there were over 60 vacancies unfilled. Included in this total were jobs in such occupations as waiter waitress, _ hair- dresser, tailor, pastry chef, housekeeper, baker, chauffeur, roofer foreman, pattern maker, sheet metal worker, tool maker, financial clerk, medical secretary.
