Staff photo For Midland Ministerial plans demonstration A public Demonstration of Appreciation is being planned by the Midland Ministerial for Sunday, June 20th at 10:30 a.m. Local church congregations will form a parade marching up King Street to the ball park at the arena where there will be a. public service of appreciation and thanksgiving at 11:00 o'clock. A choir directed by Mrs. K. Mounteer and composed of singers from the various churches, will be ministering during the service. The ® demonstration arises from a concern, even alarm, over the continuous expressions of angry discontent by large and, .influential, groups. Business and management seem to be constantly pressing for greater profits, unions protest and strike for higher wages, govern- ments ask for more and more tax dollars. In _ sharp contrast to many nations, Canadians have enjoyed years of peace and are presently enjoying a good measure of security, along with great personal freedoms and privileges. The vast majority of Canadians has wealth and material possessions hitherto not realized in this country, and indeed is not realized today among the greater populations of the world. There is a_ serious moral issue involved when a people who have so very much are con- stantly complaining and angrily protesting.
