There will be six different types of entertainment, goodies to eat, a bake sale and a craft table. 122nd. church anniversary Harmonizers guests in Waverley The Huronia Har- monizers, under the direction of Assistant Chorus Director, Bob Megaw, participated in the 122nd Anniversary service Sunday morning at Waverley United Church. The Chorus sang "I Come To The Garden Alone," '"'How Great Thou Art'? and "Amazing Grace"'. The service was con- ducted by Rev. Alan J. McLaughlin, who talked about the past, present, and future of the Church. He emphasized that St. Paul's although it is appropriate to celebrate 122 years of service to the community, it is up to the current members to ensure that the Church remains viable. Several of those in attendance commented on how appropriate the selection of songs were, particularly "Amazing Grace," the lyrics of which refer to the past, present and future. Following the service, sandwiches and coffee were served. The Huronia presents Spring Sing tonight Tonight, the chancel choir of St. Paul's United Church presents its fifth annual Spring Sing. Director Kathleen Mounteer has chosen a program of secular and sacred music, with solo performances by Joan Smith, contralto; Bernice Cham ber | sponsors Sweeting, and Eve Kurschner sopranos, Fred Hanmore, baritone. Pianist Christopher Mounteer is the assisting artist. The choir will be ac- companied by Mrs. Catherine Richardson. Father's Day draw One lucky father will be chauffered to and from work nexi week as the winner in the Midland chamber of commerce's Father's Day contest. Mothers and children are being invited to fill out ballots in Midland downtown stores and enter their father in the contest. Shrine service The Jesuit Community of the Martyr's Shrine will hold a liturgical concelebration on June 26, marking the 50th anniversary of the present shrine. It also marks the 350th anniversary of the arrival of St. Jean de Brebeuf in Huronia.
