Eden for the construction of a medical centre on the west side of Midland Avenue, at last week's meeting of the Midland planning board. The plans for the proposed medical centre meet with all the regulations set out by the planning board except for the regulation pertaining to the number of parking spaces for the building. » The building is to be a six office complex and should ideally have four parking spaces per office. The proposal presented by Dr. Eden allowed for only 20 spaces. The proposal met with all other requirements and Eden was given the go ahead to apply for a building permit. Dr. Eden said he hopes he will obtain the permit shortly in order that the foundation may be poured this week. He said he hopes the building will be completed by March. The medical centre on Midland Avenue will sit far back on the lot which until recently housed an old brick house. Eden said as far as he knows, all the neighbours are aware of the proposed centre and he' has heard no objections. The area which in- cludes Midland Avenue is zoned residential 3 and Clinics are not prohibited under the zoning bylaw. % s Winner Mrs. Freda McFarland of 386 Frederick Street was the lucky winner of a free draw sponsored in Midland by the Quality Carpet Care centre. As winner, she had her living room, dining room and hallway carpets professionally cleaned free of charge. ¢ LI ALEX CURRIE MOTORS LTD.
