The charges were laid against Guy Laurin of Concession 16, Tiny Township. Laurin was driving a pickup truck, when he was involved in an accident with a car driven by Terry Charlebois of Peek-a-Boo trail and a parked car belonging to Joan Charlebois of 206 Robert Street West. The damage to Laurin's' vehicle amounted to $600, while Terry Charlebois' car sustained $1,000 damage, and Joan Charlebois' car sustained $100 damage. No one was injured in the accident, which oc- curred in front of 206 Robert Street West. Accident A Perkinsfield man was hospitalized early Saturday morning as a result of an accident, which occurred in front of 109 Main Street. Alfred St. Amant, 53, was struck by a car driven by Neil McConkey of Leonard Avenue, Penetanguishene, as he stepped out from in front of a parked car. There was no damage to the McConkey vehicle, and no charges were laid by Constable Graham Whiteside, who _ in- vestigated the accident. Theft \ Mary Hamelin, of Hugel Avenue in Midla: reported the thefi three-quarter 1 ; suede coat: valued at $100 from. the Commodore Hotel early Sunday morning. The theft, which was discovered when Hamelin came out of the lounge, is being investigated by Constable Maracle. Car Theft Constable Tom Mar- chand is investigating the theft some time between Saturday night and Sunday morning of a 1974 GMC van belonging to Edward Pilon of Victoria Harbour. It was parked in Penetanguishene at the time. Accident Careless' driving charges were laid against Carrie Stinson of Rama Road in Orillia Sunday evening, after she was involved in an accident in front of 89 Robert Street West. The car she was driving struck a car driven by Susan Maracle of 228 Robert Street West. The Stinson vehicle sustained $300 damage, while $150 damage was done to the Maracle car. There were no injuries in the accident, which was investigated by Constable Donald Westcott. Bonspiel will be on weekend The Penetanguishene Curling Club will be the site of the Wally's Men's Wear Annual Bonspiel this weekend. This is the third year in a row for the bonspiel, which will attract people from all over the province, including two teams which played in the Ontario finals last year. The spiel, sponsored by the local clothier, will run for two days, starting Saturday morning and continuing until Sunday night. A trophy will go to the winners, and a total of $1,500 in prizes will be given out. Curlers and non-curlers alike are invited to come out to watch the event, and to attend the dance which will be held at the arena Saturday evening. There will bé no charge for either. Obituary Jeanette The death occurred suddenly at her home in Midland on November 10, of Jeanette Lavigne. Beloved daughter of Annie Barry of Penetanguishene, and Delbert Barry, deceased, she was in her 39th year. Boman in Penetanguishene, she stereo Lavigne lived all her life in the Midland-Penetanguis- hene area. Mrs. Lavigne is sur- vived by her husband William Lavigne, sons Billy and Michael, and daughters Pamela and° Debra. She also leaves behind her brother Nelson Baan ay, of Penetanguishene, and sisters Helen Hannah, of Port Colbourne and Barbara Fauxteux, of Quebec. The funeral was held at St. Ann's Church on November 13, with Father J. Harrington officiating. The Pallbearers were Mike and Bob Duval, Michael Beauchamp, Jim Patenaude, Charles Kaus and Ronald Robillard. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery, Perkinsfield.
