The charge was laid against Randolph Spicer on February 5, 1977, in connection with the theft of snowmobile belonging to a Toronto man. The court was told Spicer turned himself in, and admitted he took it, and took. it for two rides on the nights after the theft. The snowmobile was later recovered in the yard of another person, undamaged. ~~ do. oR Stolen goods A 17-year-old Highland point man pleaded guilty in provincial court last Thursday to a charge of possession of stolen goods of a value greater than $200. Richard Buttineau admitted he knew a snowmobile which was discovered in his yard had been stolen. In a statement given to the police, _Buttineau ad- mitted he had ripped off the registration number, and repainted the cowling. Assault A 17-year-old Port McNicoll man _ was remanded to March 28, for sentencing, after he pleaded guilty in provincial court Thur- sday to a charge of assault, and two charges of mischief involving wilful damage over $50. The court was told that Kenneth Boyd had gone to a residence where a girl he knew was babysitting, and she let him into the house. While he was there, he drank some alcohol, did a small amount of damage to the residence, and assaulted the girl. She ran into the Street, ahd went home, but he followed her to her house, where he did more church | nny damage to her house, and assaulted her again. He then went to another house, where he did even more damage. The judge ordered a pre-sentence report prepared before sen- tencing on March 28. Possession of marijuana A 21-year-old Don Mills man received a con- ditional discharge in provincial court Thur- sday, after he pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of marijuana. Walter Gerrard was charged on January 23 of this year, after he was stopped while driving north on Highway 27, from Hugeél Street to Penetanguishene. He was stopped just outside the Penetanguishene town limits, and a search of his car revealed a small plastic bag containing the marijuana. The incident began at 1:50 Sunday morning, when the Penetanguishene Police Department received a call from the Ontario Provincial Police, Midland Detachment, advising them to be on the lookout for a car stolen in Midland. Ten minutes later, Constable Tiffin, on patrol on Main Street in Penetanguishene, spotted the car and attempted to pull it over. The car ac- celerated and left town along Highway 27.
