The regular placements are an increase over the month of May, reports Student Manpower Director Sonya Mount, leted for the Young Canada Works projects approved for the Midland- Penetanguishene area. Because most of these programs are recreation programs, the com- munity at large will be the major beneficiary from these federally funded summer employment projects. Ms. Mount also reports. that 265 employers have been visited by student manpower officers. These visits will continue through the month of July to stimulate employment in a traditionally down period. Student manpower offices would like to emphasize that they will find students willing to help in odd-jobs around the home such as moving furniture, cutting lawns, even babysitting for your favourite pet.
