Tay land use turned over to council Land use control in Tay Township has been turned over to Tay Township Council, following an amendment to a Ministry of Housing restricted area order controlling \ development in the area. According to Claude Bennett, the Minister of Housing, the restricted area order is being revoked since a zoning bylaw affecting most of the lands in the township has been adopted by Tay council and submitted to the OMB for approval. The restricted area order was imposed in 1975 because of the high level of land development in the area. It was con- sidered an_ interim measure at the time, until a zoning bylaw could be prepared and adopted.
