Tim Hayes stole home for the winning run Monday, as Midland Tykes edged Collingwood in the last inning to win their York Simcoe baseball game 10-9. Midland trailed Collingwood by two runs going into the bottom of the seventh inning, but a single by Jim Faragher and a sacrifice fly by Mike Gadsby brought in the tying runs. Jason Pender continued his win streak as pitcher for Midland while Brad Holden' suffered his second loss in the Little Lake Ball park. Clarke threw the discus 44 metres in the Midgets boys division to gain his top ten placing. Moyer hurled the javelin 30.52 metres in the midget girls division to also finish ninth.
