This competition was in connection with the education program of the Humane Society. The posters were to illustrate some aspect of kindness to animals with a suitable slogan as part of the whole design. The art work had to be original. These posters were judged by Bill Chenier, art teacher at Midland Secondary School, and by Brenda Vivian, who is employed by the Simcoe County Board of Education in the Student Services Department. The response to this contest was very good and the Humane Society would like to thank all the students who par- ticipated and put their time and effort into the art work. Mrs. Millie Allport, president of the local branch, visited the winning schools and presented the following students with prizes and ribbons.
