Diploma Elmvale Sunshine Club winds up its season by M. Player Elmvale Sunshine Club ended their season on May 26, 1980 with a really good dinner served by the members of the Centre Flos Women's Institute. Mary Johnston thanked the ladies on behalf of the members. Reverend and Mrs. Macdonald were guests at the dinner, and brought greetings from the Elmvale Ministerial Association. Mr. and Mrs. Moran, also guests at the dinner, brought greetings from Flos Township. Some of the school children from Our Lady of Lourdes entertained us with their skits, a piano solo (which was skillfully presented) and a speech on growing old, which was pleasing. The club wishes to thank all who made our day so pleasant. Our members at- tended the Presbyterian Church June 8, as our service in « Senior Citizen's Week, from June 15 to 21. A few of our mem- bers, ladies and men, have made a quilt, an afghan, two candle wall brackets and a wall hanging. We are selling tickets on these and will be at the sales barns on June 26 and July 3 and 10. We also enjoyed a bus trip to Elmira on June 13. A big thank-you is extended to our cashiers, Ena Adams and Jessie Beardsall, who see to it that we had a full bus. Also to Alvin Archer who arranges the trips. Coming up is a local picnic, July 23 begin- ning at 4 p.m. at Bishop Park. The county picnic will be August 6 at Midhurst and a bus will be available. Our opening date this fall will be September 8, 1980.
