Saturday, Mr. and Mrs. Vic Wilson and Janet and Dave Woodbeck of Peter- borough visited with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Edwards, and Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Charles Doekes of Guelph visited with the Edwards. Weekend visitors with Mr. and Mrs. George Dupuis were Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Dupuis and Kim of Belleville. Mrs. Hazel Taylor has returned home after visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Ron Devitt and Doug of Oshawa. The Vasey's Women's Institute will meet at the home of Mrs. Nelson Edwards on Aug. 12 at 7:30 p.m. Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Doug Smitham and family were Mrs. Benson, Mrs. Sharon Foster, Suzanne and Stephen and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Moreau and family all of Wyevale. Mrs. Bob Spracklin of Toronto spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Ross Faint. Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Faint of Toronto visited on Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Ken Robinson. Mr. and Mrs. Clare McKeown enjoyed a trip through Eastern Ontario last week and on Sunday they visited with Mrs. Brewster in Unionville. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Borwn of Midland and Mr. and Mrs. Doug Edwards of Coldwater visited on Sunday with Mr. Les Edwards. Glad to report that Mrs. Jim MacKenzie has returned home from Huronia District Hospital and is progressing well. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Russell and Meegan of London were weekend guests of Mr. John Isaac. On Monday evening Mrs. Elizabeth Russell and Mrs. Jane Isaac held a_ bridal shower for Miss Laura Bressette who will be married to Mr. David Isaac on Sept. 27. Visitations ~ by Mrs. A. Mr. and Mrs. Archie Wanless were_ on holidays for ten days at Lake Bernard Park near Sundridge. Mr. and Mrs. Cline Rawn were guests at two recent weddings. On July 26 they attended the wedding of Mrs. Rawn's nephew, Brian holamew ant Miss Joanne Cryderman in the Hawkestone United Church. The reception was in the Moose Hall, Orillia. On Aug. 2, a cousin Miss Gwen McLean was married to Rod McLean in Collier St. United Church in Barrie. The reception . took place at Horseshoe Valley. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Wanless of Sundridge spent the Aug. 9th weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Wanless. study. Meanwhile Midland Jaycees plan to host a kick-off dinner for civic officials and the local media on Aug. 28. At that time the local service club will outline a project it plans to undertake called "Save a Life Campaign." Snow's father and relatives in Scotland. Mrs. Alvin Drennan has returned home after a nine-day bus trip to the United States. They stopped off at Washington and Williamsburg, Virginia and other places of interest. One of the highlights of the trip was when they attended a congress session in Washington. Mr. David Preston of Skipton, Yorkshire, England has_ been visiting his aunt, Mrs. Ruth Lea this past week. We have visited several places of in- terest in Simcoe County including the 30,000 Island boat trip on the Midland City. Mrs. Margaret Nixon ac- companied us on the boat trip. Hilisdale news Miss Lisa Dunn, Toronto, is spending two weeks holidays with her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Grant Dunn. Mr. and Mrs. Herb Rutherford of Sardis, BC and Mrs. Maysie Findley of Midland, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Grant Dunn. Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Walker spent a day in Toronto last week.
