These will be mixed teams with husbands and wives competing against each other. This sounds like a fun day so be sure to come out and watch or participate. For further information call Ken Lockhart. Rod and Joanne McFarland of Toronto, entertained Doug Truax and Anne Scott with a wedding shower on Saturday night. They received many useful gifts. Induction Service for Rev. G. Finney was held at Wyecliffe Anglican Church in Elmvale on Sunday evening. In Wyevale the induction service was held for Rev. J. Locke of the United Church. The first card party of the season will be held at the Community Centre on _ Friday, October 10 at 8 p.m. Anyone over the age of 16 is welcome to come and enjoy an evening of euchre with lunch to follow. The next recreation dance is at Elmvale Community Hall on Saturday, Sept. 20 from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m. with '"'Northern Edition". Tickets are $4 a person and a lunch will be served. The new community centre books have gone to press, so they will be in the mail shortly. The new fall courses are listed in your local papers. Registration is at the centre September 29 and 30. Bill and Madeline Armstrong and girls of Cambridge visited with their parents on the weekend. Road construction is at its peak in Waverley. It's a bit inconvenient but interesting to watch. In the near future, when we have a nice new road, we will know it was all worth while.
