Another relatively new face at the channel 12 studios is that of Bernie Kaczmarski, formerly of Levack, Ontario, near Sudbury. She too began her career in cable T.V. asa 'volunteer and just about a month ago assumed the position of assistant program- mer. Kaczmarski has been involved in the Midland community for several years. Along with recent staff changes at the community T.V. station there have been some technical changes as well. For example, over the course of the sum- mer, the station acquired a new editing machine and much of the old equipment has been modified for the implimentation of colour capacity. The colour equipment and cameras are expected to arrive sometime early in 1981, with the station slated to be ready for colour capabilities by April '81. The new program director at Cable 12 says volunteers are always needed and welcome at the station and he welcomes too, any program ideas that individuals in the community may have. Obituary Funeral service for the late Robert Maurice Maheu. 930 Hugel Ave., Midland, were held Sept. 26, 1980 at St. Ann's Memorial Church, Penetangui- shene, with Rev. Lodis Dignard officiating. The late Mr. Maheu died at St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto, Sept. 23 following a_ brief illness. On Dec. 20, 1952 he married Marina Legault in St. Ann's Memorial Church. Most of his life was spent in the Midland- Penetanguishene area. His wife and three sons (Robert Maheu of Toronto, Rodney Maheu and Kenneth Maheu of Midland) survive him, as well as brothers Louis Maheu'- and Ronald Maheu _ of Shining Tree, and sisters Anna Wicklum of Phelpston, Margaret Rydelek of Hamilton, Bea Noble of Penetanguishene and Eileen Button of Bradford: Robert Maheu A sister, Bertha Dion, and a brother, Philip Maheu, predeceased him, as well as _ his parents. Nephews" Randy Vincent, Craig Lacroix, Gary Lacroix, Bobby Dion, Raymond Dion and Louis Maheu were the pallbearers with the interment in St. Ann's Cemetery.
