MSS girls second in tourney Kim Carpenter, Carolyn Meech, Kelly Edwards and Mary Russell of Midland Secondary School usually play on the junior girls' basketball team, but for a tournament held in Elmira, Ontario over the weekend, they were seniors. Tracy Vent scored 14 points in that game while Kelly Edwards proved to all watching that she could handle herself as well as any of the seniors when she totalled up 10 points. Sunday Sinners see upsets The biggest move in Penetanguishene Sunday Sinners' Bowling League is by the Lucky Strikers who moved from third place up toa first place finish for the week. The league bowls out of the Perietanguishene bowling alley, this week being one for a great number of upsets. The Born Losers who were leading the league after last week's play has now dropped into second and are followed closely by the Heavy Rollers who were third from last this previous week. ewes -- Gerald Lesperance saw his high average of 205 drop down to fourth highest. The new leader in that category for men is Jim Bressette with 217. Ladies' high average holder, Pamela Lesperance maintained her title with no one coming close to her 190 yet. Jim Bressette also moved ahead in the high single score beating Dean Chapman with his 317 score. Pat McConkey held the title for the ladies until this week, but fell to third behind Betty Thayer with 273 and Stella McIntaggart with 259. Brressette also claimed the title of high triple with a score of 878, relegating Gerald Lesperance to a second place position. Pamela Lesperance held onto her high triple score of 647. In the semi-final round, Midland squeezed out mimira 28-24 in an exciting overtime game. Elmira went on to win their next two games which meant that they would face Midland once again in the finals. Strong defence for Elmira was the undoing of Midland's squad as they went down in defeat a close 27-22 for the second place finish. 5 Employment and Immigration Canada Emploi et Immigration Canada ATTENTION: UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE CLAIMANTS In view of the current strike of clerical employees, UI benefit cheques may be picked up in person at a Pay Distribution Centre. Alberta. 70 head of cattle treated with TRAMISOL dewormer were compared with a 70-head control group. The untreated group. gained 374 lb. per head. The difference: 29 extra Ib. per head with TRAMISOL. And at market that meant a net return of $21.49 extra profit per head. TRAMISOL.
