Ferguson picked by lawyers At a meeting of members of the Ontario Branch of The Canadian Bar Association Roderic G. Ferguson of Teskey, Heacock and Ferguson, Midtand, was unanimously elected a councilman to represent the province on the council of the national association and also to represent lawyers in the West Electoral District at council meetings of the branch association. In both instances, the council is the chief governing body of the organization. The Canadian Bar Association, in existence on a national basis since 1896, is a voluntary organization of Canadian lawyers formed to _ provide support by the profession, to the profession, so that it mav render better service to clients. Advance poll Saturday Voters in Midland who want to take advantage of the advance poll to the municipal election on Nov. 10 can do so this Saturday between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. in the Midland town hall. \ This vear there will be \ a poll for each ward. The turnout for the advance poll of the last municipal election was heavv. says the town clerk. Twice as many people as expected, 350, turned out.
