We hope that Lorrie Pickard is on the mend after being involved ina car accident last week. She is in Huronia District Hospital. Mr. Cecil Kells and Mrs. Winnie Armstrong visited with Mr. and Mrs. Bill Armstrong and girls in Cambridge over the weekend. Mrs. S. Pickard is a patient at Huronia District Hospital where she underwent surgery. A speedy recovery is wished to her. Mrs. A. J. Renny who were recently married and who were returning to their home _ on Gabriola Island on Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Faint and family of Port Dover visited on the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Ross Faint and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Graham and family. Vasey W.I. Report Mrs. Irene Smitham chaired the October 14th meeting of the Vasey Women's Institute in the absence of our president. After a short business meeting, Mrs. Smitham welcomed 16 members, three visitors from Coldwater, three visitors from Ebenezer and nine guests from Vasey. Following the Ode and the Creed, Mrs. Pauline Kellv explained the motto: "Spend your hours learning, not yearning." The roll call was 'What is the best gift vou could give a child."" was answered many different ways, but most agreed that love-and understanding should come first. The meeting closed with the singing of the Queen and the Institute Grace. Lunch was served. ' The next meeting will be held Tuesday, Nov. 11 at the home of Miss Eleanor Edwards at 1:30 p.m. The regular meeting will be followed by a Tupperware Party, with the proceeds to go to the Institute.
