To represent the Township of Tay the councillor must be willing to give much time and effort to un- derstanding and solving the problems of a geographically spra- wling township. The councillor must have the judgement to plan for the future and to make the right decisions. Above all the Office seekers onTV tonight Voters in Midland and Penetanguishene will have a chance Wed- nesdav evening to watch the candidates for mavor in their respective towns handle themselves in a_ one- hour live program broadeast on Cable 12. The mayoralty candidates in Midland will appear at 7 p.m. The mayoralty candidates inPeneta- nguishene will appear at 8:30 p.m. (However, as of vesterday afternoon, at least one of the two candidates had still to commit himself.) A half hour will separate the two programs. Cable 12 has extended invilations to all the candidates in Midland, Penetanguishene, Victoria Harbour and Port MeNicoll to tape a 10 minute segment, by themselves or with an interviewer. The result, two hours long. will be broadcast todav at 1:30 p.m. and tomorrow evening at 6:30 p.m, About 16 candidates took the opportunity, all running in Midland and Penetanguishene.
