Last day full of good cheer at MSS Apprehension was in the air at Midland Secondary School Friday as the last few moments of school crept up that would mean they would be out of school for the Christmas holidays. The entire day was filled with the feeling of Christmas right from the early morning and the Christmas carols the teachers sang before classes began to the hours. The highlight of the assembly was an ex- clusive appearance of the famed group, The Beatles, reunited after all these years on the stage of MSS. The Grade 13 class was responsible for that performance and they also performed a skit on the Holy Spirit to give it that Christmas feeling. Teaching staff also put on skits for the ment and the business department all getting into the act. A special appearance by the student council members with their own rendition of The 12 Days of Christmas met with obvious approval. Concluding the program was a visit from Santa Calus who presented gifts to some good people in the school. The day was quite successful and even though a few bus can- cellations delayed the return home of some of the students, it was greatly appreciated by all. One thing that met with mixed emotions for the day was. the dispensing of report cards and depending on the marks, those cards were greeted with more or less enthusiasm.
