On Saturday evening a banquet was held in connection with the Annual Meeting of the Coldwater Agricultural Fair Board in the basement of the Presbyterian Church, Coldwater. The ladies of the church served a delicious dinner to ninety guests. After the. dinner the meeting was chaired by Lloyd Dunlop of Moonstone. Mrs. Ken Hamilton of Moonstone, the secretary, read the minutes and reviewed the proceeds of the fair. A plaque and a gift were presented to Mr. Elmer Gratrix of Rosemount, the former president, and a gift to Mrs. Gratrix in recognition of their services, by the term president, Mr. John Orr. The financial aspects of the Fair were very satisfactory. Mr. Tom Smith. Ist Vice- President, gave a detailed report of the Fair with comments on all events and exhibits. This was followed by a splendid set of slides of the Fair taken by Gary Piper last fall. These were shown by Mrs. Lorraine Orr. The humorous stories and comments by the chairmen kept all present in a happy mood during the entire meeting. The heavy snow load proved to be too much weight for the com- paratively new barn of Mr. Ward on the 8th cone. just north of the Moonstone Corner. The entire barn collapsed under that heavy snowfall. There was no livestock in the barn at the time. Unfortunately Mrs. Freda Lumree has been in Orillia Soldier's Memorial Hospital for two weeks. We hope she is soon able to return home. Mrs. Wm.
