Uy VO" Z j y Ui; Yj VA "Uy ] St. T's girls are something else! St. Theresa's High School in Midland has had very good success with their three boys' volleyball teams but the girls' teams are something to talk about as well. St. Theresa's senior girls attended the Crestwood Classic Volleyball Tournament in Peterborough Saturday. There were 10 teams entered in the high calibre tournament. St. Theresa's came up against Merivale from Ottawa and took both games 15-7 and 15-1 in their first match of round robin play. Merivale won the Ontario Federation of Secondary School Association finals two years ago. St. Theresa's then split their next games with Henry 53 by scores of 10-15 and 15-11. Clarke of Ottawa took both games from St. Theresa's seniors 15-9 and 15-5 but St. Theresa's came back to claim two wins against Cederbrae from Scarborough 15-10 and 15-7. They continued their winning ways' by defeating Peterborough 15-2 and 15-7 which left them tied for first in their pool. In the semi-finals, St. Theresa's came up against Earl Haigh, the defending OFSSA champions but the resident winners wouldn't give up the win, beating St. Theresa's 15-6 and 15-7.
