Fun Day plans bv Louise Wanless | The meeting of >the New Flos W.I. which was postponed for a week due to stormy weather was held on Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 17 at the home of Mrs. John Minnings of Phelpston. Mrs. Harold Smith presided and opened the meeting with the Ode and the Mary Stewart Collect. The eight W.1. members and three visitors present an- swered the roll call, "What I plan to do to conserve energy." Fun Day will be held March 17 at 12:30 at the Lions Club building. Members are requested to bring their own silverware. Allenwood, Centre Flos and New Flos are each respon- sible for ten minutes of the program. Mrs. Alex Finlay offered to attend the meeting in regard to the Maple Syrup Festival. Mrs. H. Smith and Mrs. T. Loftus will meet with Edenvale members to make plans for catering to a banquet on April 10: Mrs. Jim Kenney, Mrs. Elmer Atkinson and Mrs. Smith were named the committee in charge of catering to the District Annual. Mrs. Clarence Atkinson spent a few davs with relatives in Stayner and attended the funeral on Friday of a cousin, Harold Moore. The Wanless' had all their family home for the weekend of Feb. 14 to ski and celebrate Janet's birthday which was Feb. 18.
