Up My Alley bv Dennis Brabant Congratulations go out to the Midland and Penetanguishene area bowlers wha qualified in the National Classified tournament held March 15th. The ladies travelled to Base Borden where Sherrin Sykes and Anne Daoust finished in the top two in their average classes and now ad- vance on to the regional finals. The men travelled to Orillia where J. P. Desroches, Roger Beausoleil, Gerald Lesnerance and Martin Devillers qualified. The regional finals will be held March 29 at Kempview Lanes in Barrie. Two local teams did well in a men's tour- nament held in Cold- water March 14th. A Midland team comprised of Bob McMann, Jim Wright, Fred Jackson, Len Lesperance, Dave Laurin and Tom Sauve finished second with a five game score of 6,895 winning $235 in cash. Wright and Laurin placed first in the doubles with a com- bined score of 2,546. The Commodore Hotel team captained by Peter Lacroix finished third with a score of 6.792 winning $180 in cash. The Midland Y.B.C. will be holding their annual All Ontario Family Twosome on March 29 at Bayshore Lanes. Interested parents should register for this tournament as soon as possible. All lottery tickets for the "Trips to Florida' must be turned in by next week as the draw is held in early April.
